What Is an Aluminum Oil Cooler?
An aluminum oil cooler is a heat exchanger that keeps hydraulic oil, lubricating oil or compressor oil at a safe working temperature. Hot oil flows through the passages of a vacuum-brazed aluminum core and transfers its heat to air, then returns to the circuit cool enough to protect pumps, seals, bearings and the oil itself.
We are a custom aluminum oil cooler manufacturer - every unit is engineered to your machine's size, flow and heat load, then built and tested in our own factory. As a factory-direct supplier we can offer competitive pricing on single prototypes and volume orders alike.
Why Aluminum?
Need a flange aluminum heat exchanger for an industrial power unit? We machine custom flanges and fittings in-house, so your heavy-duty industrial oil cooler connects exactly to your hydraulic system - no adapter guesswork, no leak paths.
Aluminum is the industry standard for air-cooled oil cooling, and for good reason:
- High thermal conductivity - heat moves quickly from the oil to the fins, so a compact core can handle a large heat load.
- Light weight - critical for mobile machines such as excavators, compressors and agricultural equipment.
- Corrosion resistance - with proper surface treatment, aluminum cores survive humid, coastal and chemically aggressive environments.
- Vacuum-brazed strength - aluminum bar-and-plate (plate-fin) cores withstand pressure pulses and thermal shock without leaking.
More Oil-Cooler Products We Manufacture
We produce multiple oil-cooled models in one factory, so you can order single units or mix models for your market:
- Heavy-Duty Hydraulic Oil Cooler with 12V/24V Fan - matched 12V/24V fan, built for excavators and agricultural machinery.
- Industrial Hydraulic Oil Cooler with Fan & Flange - flanged hydraulic oil coolers for industrial power units.
- Bar and Plate Aluminum Oil Cooler Assembly - vacuum-brazed assemblies for compressors and hydraulic systems.

How an Oil Cooler Works
- Hot oil enters the cooler from the oil circuit or pump.
- Oil flows through internal passages in the aluminum core, and heat transfers to the plates and fins.
- A fan blows air across the fins, carrying the heat away.
- The cooled oil returns to the tank or circuit at a safe working temperature.
Why Oil Temperature Control Matters
- Protects the oil - oil breaks down faster above its working range, losing viscosity and lubricity.
- Protects components - overheated oil accelerates seal aging, bearing wear and pump failure.
- Keeps machines productive - hydraulic power, vacuum performance and compressor efficiency all depend on oil temperature.
- Reduces downtime - a correctly sized aluminum oil cooler prevents unplanned stops and costly repairs.
